Tom Velken, Principal –

Tom founded Viking Real Estate Group in 1995. As a principal of the firm, he is directly involved with all management aspects of the business, while also working with clients.
Tom has more than 20 years of experience with real estate acquisition, development, and finance in commercial and residential real estate, including tenure at Catellus Development Corporation, where he was responsible for all levels of financial analysis of corporate real estate holdings totaling 2 million acres of improved and unimproved land worth $2.7 billion. He was also a Senior Financial Analyst at Cushman & Wakefield.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as continued coursework in real estate investment analysis, corporate finance, and macroeconomics.
Bryan Harms, Consultant –
Bryan joined Viking Real Estate Group in November, 2009. He is responsible for the firm’s marketing, business development, and vendor relationships.
Prior to joining Viking, Bryan was Director of Marketing for Inverness Real Estate Investments, where he oversaw all marketing and branding initiatives, as well as managed the company’s administrative staff, handled vendor relationships, and securities compliance issues. As Vice President of Member Services for TEAM America, a public professional employer organization. Bryan’s responsibilities included oversight of the Creative Design and Content Development departments. He has also held management positions at Northwestern Title Company and Tech Prose, a web design and technical writing firm.
Bryan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from University of California, Berkeley, and has completed graduate coursework in Clinical Psychology.
